PANACHE LINGERIE COMPETITION
As part of a live industry brief set by Panache Lingerie Company based in Sheffield, a brief had been set where lingerie or nightwear had to be designed with a particular era in mind. I and a colleague collaborated and worked to each other’s strengths in the brief, combining my knowledge of pattern cutting and construction with her flare for design. Our project was inspired by the 50s and based around the concept of armour being a level of protection. It provided a great inspiration for the shapes and contours that featured within the designs.
The final lingerie package then went forward to be presented to a panel of judges from Panache Lingerie. Prizes were awarded and our entry gained a Highly Commended award. From this I was awarded a week long placement at Panache which I undertook in December 2013.
Garment & mood boards I created for the Panache lingerie competition.
